Woodio Invests Worth 7 Million Euros in a New Factory to Expand Internationally

Finland: Woodio, the Finnish startup studio most known for its eco-friendly bathroom furniture, is preparing to invest in a new facility in Lahti, Finland. The whole investment is about 7 million euros.

Woodio's ground-breaking 100% waterproof wood composite is an environmentally friendly alternative to ceramics and other high-carbon-footprint materials used in bathroom and interior design. Last summer, Woodio successfully raised over 16 million euros in growth capital to strengthen and expand its international presence. The new facility in Lahti, Finland, set to open in spring 2025 with an expenditure of approximately 7 million euros, will optimise production procedures to meet rising market demand.

The construction industry is responsible for an estimated 40% of annual global carbon emissions. Woodio emits much less carbon than typical ceramic sanitaryware because to its raw materials and energy-efficient manufacturing technique.
