Viega Group to Establish New Production Site in Saarland

Germany: The Viega Group has announced an investment of approximately 160 million USD (150 million EUR) for the development of a new production facility in the municipality of Kirkel, located near Homburg in Saarland, Germany. The company, based in Attendorn, North Rhine-Westphalia, has acquired the former logistics halls and associated land from Reifenwerke AG & Co. KGaA. The purchase agreement was finalised on 10 May 2025.
As part of the initial phase of development, the company plans to create around 150 new jobs at the site. Production of pipe connectors for the international market is scheduled to begin by the end of 2025. Viega opted to repurpose an existing industrial site instead of constructing a new facility, with the aim of utilizing the space in a shorter timeframe.
