Samsung Opens Heat Pump Training Centre in South Korea

South Korea: Samsung Electronics has established a dedicated EHS heat pump training centre at its CS Academy in Suwon, Gyeonggi Province. The facility will provide training for B2B partners and installation engineers covering water piping, product installation, commissioning and service inspection. The initiative comes as South Korea targets the deployment of 3.5 million heat pumps by 2035.

The training centre includes equipment and systems used in residential installations, including thermal storage tanks, hot water control kits, underfloor heating water distributors, water piping systems and fan coil units. Trainees can also conduct commissioning and service inspections using Samsung’s HASS smart diagnostic programme. Samsung is building a production line for EHS heat pump boilers at its Gwangju plant, with mass production scheduled to begin later in September 2026. The company is also conducting validation in residential and apartment settings in South Korea.
