CAREL Completes Acquisition Of Cotes Dehumidification Business
Denmark: CAREL Industries has completed the acquisition of 100 per cent of the share capital of Cotes A/S and Tørbåd ApS, collectively known as Cotes, on 3 September 2026. The transaction adds adsorption dehumidification technology to CAREL’s portfolio, which focuses on components and solutions for the control of heating, ventilation and air conditioning and refrigeration systems. Cotes operates in the field of dehumidification systems designed for energy performance, expanding CAREL’s capabilities within HVAC-related applications.
CAREL reported that HVAC accounted for 72 per cent of its revenue for the financial year ending 31 December 2025, with refrigeration contributing 28 per cent. The group operates through 47 branches, including 15 production sites, and generates around 80 per cent of its revenue outside Italy. The company supplies solutions primarily to original equipment manufacturers in HVAC and refrigeration markets. Financial details of the acquisition were not disclosed, with reference made to the earlier announcement issued in July 2026.
