Honeywell And Bosch Team Up For Heating And Cooling Solutions with Less Global Warming

CHARLOTTE, N.C. : A recent announcement made by Honeywell revealed that Bosch's most recent series of heat pumps will feature Honeywell's Solstice low-global warming potential (GWP) refrigerant, which is known for its energy efficiency. As a result of this partnership, Bosch technicians will receive training in the safe maintenance and installation of these low-GWP solutions of the next generation. Honeywell's previously stated ambitions to align its portfolio around three compelling megatrends, including the energy transition, are supported by the cooperation with Bosch, which also provides these goals with additional support.

Refrigerant manufactured by Honeywell called Solstice 454B will be used in the Florida Heat Pump series manufactured by Bosch. This refrigerant is designed to cut greenhouse gas emissions in residential and light commercial heating and air conditioning by 78% when compared to typical refrigerants. Heat pumps manufactured by Bosch will be able to move heat by utilizing a combination of electricity and refrigerants, thanks to the incorporation of Honeywell Solstice. This will provide an alternative that is more energy-efficient than the conventional methods of heating and cooling, which include the use of furnaces and air conditioners.
