Haier India Sets Festive Sales Growth Target Amid Plans to Expand Its Retail Footprint

India: Haier Appliances India expects sales growth of approximately 30% by volume and 35% by value during the 2026 festive season, according to CEO N S Satish. The company reported annual growth of 28–30%, while sales during the Navratri period increased by 60–70% year-on-year. Demand for refrigerators, televisions and air conditioners has supported sales, with consumer financing options such as equated monthly instalments (EMIs) and Buy Now, Pay Later (BNPL) schemes contributing to appliance purchases. Haier reported a 20% refrigerator market share across retail partners Reliance Digital and Croma and stated that it held the leading position in the side-by-side refrigerator category during Amazon's Great Indian Festival sale.
The company plans to expand its partner-operated exclusive retail store network from 65 to 400 outlets over the coming year. Haier operates manufacturing facilities in Pune and Greater Noida, with approximately 98% of locally manufactured products sold in India and the remaining 2% exported to markets including Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Nepal. The company also reported that its exclusive service engineers handle approximately 70% of service requests. Haier is monitoring raw material price movements and supply chain disruptions that could affect manufacturing costs and product pricing.
