Copeland Partners with HVAC Players to Advance Heat Pump Technologies
US: Copeland, a manufacturer of heating and cooling solutions, has partnered with AAON, an energy-efficient HVAC solutions provider, and other OEMs to enhance cold-climate heat pump technologies. These collaborations align with the Department of Energy's (DOE) initiatives to develop efficient heat pumps capable of operating at temperatures as low as -15 F, addressing the challenges of traditional systems in colder environments.
Two DOE grants have been awarded to Copeland in 2024 for advancing modular heat pump technologies with integrated thermal energy storage and expanding production capacity for heat pump compressors across key U.S. manufacturing facilities. These investments in facilities in Ava and Lebanon, Missouri; Sidney, Ohio; and Cudahy, Wisconsin, aim to meet growing demand for high-efficiency heating solutions in residential, commercial, and industrial markets.
