Zehnder to Separate European Ventilation and Radiator Businesses from October 2026

Switzerland: Zehnder announced that it will introduce a new divisional structure from 1 October 2026, separating its European operations into two independently managed businesses: Residential Ventilation Europe and Radiators Europe. Each division will be responsible for its own financial performance. The Light Commercial Ventilation Europe business will also operate independently, while the North America, Asia, Clean Air Solution and Heat Exchangers units will remain unchanged. The company stated that the new structure is intended to enable each division to focus on its respective market and operational requirements. As part of the re-organisation, Zehnder will reduce the size of its Executive Committee from six to five members, comprising the CEO, CFO and the heads of Residential Ventilation Europe, Radiators Europe and North America. Silvia Witschi will join the Executive Committee on 1 July 2026 and assume responsibility for Residential Ventilation Europe from 1 October 2026, while Jörg Metzger will lead Radiators Europe. Dorien Terpstra and Johannes Bollmann will leave the company following a transition period, no later than the end of 2026.

Zehnder expects the re-organisation to result in one-off costs of around EUR 10 million (USD 11.5 million) during the 2026 financial year and anticipates efficiency gains over the medium term. The move reflects the company's increasing focus on ventilation activities. In 2025, Zehnder reported revenue of EUR 760.7 million (USD 875.6 million), up 8% year-on-year. Revenue from ventilation activities increased by 18% to EUR 501.7 million (USD 577.7 million), accounting for 66% of total sales and exceeding EUR 500 million for the first time. Revenue from the radiator business declined by 8% to EUR 259 million (USD 298.1 million), which the company attributed to weaker renovation activity. Zehnder employed approximately 3,600 people in 2025 and operates manufacturing facilities in Europe, China and North America.
