U.S. HVACR Wholesale Distribution Supports Over 100,000 Jobs and $33 Billion in Economic Output
USA: According to a study by the Heating, Air-conditioning & Refrigeration Distributors International (HARDI), HVACR wholesale distribution in the U.S. directly supports more than 100,000 jobs and contributes nearly $33 billion in annual economic output.
HARDI’s study, Keeping America Comfortable: A Baseline Economic Impact Analysis of HVACR Wholesale Distribution Across All 50 States, found that the sector supports 101,817 jobs, generates $32.9 billion in economic output, contributes $17.8 billion in value added and provides $8.7 billion in employee compensation.
The study highlights the significant economic contribution of HVACR wholesale distribution while demonstrating the use of government data, economic modelling and industry-specific information to assess the sector’s impact across all 50 states
