Distribution major Ferguson Enterprises Inc. reported solid second-quarter sales despite an uncertain economic environment, a sluggish US residential market and challenging market conditions in Canada.

During an August 10 earnings call, CEO Kevin Murphy and CFO Bill Brundage expressed confidence in the company’s outlook for the remainder of the year. Ferguson raised its guidance and now expects mid-single-digit sales growth in 2026, compared with its previous expectation of low- to mid-single-digit growth.

For the first six months of 2026, Ferguson’s sales reached just over US$16.2 billion, representing a 4.2% increase compared with the same period in 2025.

The company also continued to expand through acquisitions, completing five deals during the second quarter. Within its HVAC business, Ferguson acquired Carrier Great Lakes, which operates seven locations across Michigan and Ohio, and Dealers Supply Co., which has 17 locations across the Southeast. Its commercial and mechanical business acquired New England Applied Products, a manufacturers’ representative and engineering firm specialising in commercial HVAC across the Northeast.
