Xiaomi Launches First Smart Home Appliance Factory in Wuhan

China: Xiaomi announced the start of production at its first smart home appliance factory in Wuhan, China, marking its third major manufacturing base after its automobile and smartphone factories. Spanning 751 mu (about 500,000 square meters), the new facility initially focuses on air conditioner production and features six sub-factories covering the full supply chain of household and central air-conditioning systems. Equipped with Xiaomi’s self-developed Pinecone Intelligent Manufacturing Platform and AI visual inspection technology, the factory can produce one high-end air conditioner every 6.5 seconds. The entire project was completed and became operational within just 11 months.
