GERMANY: In the 2024 financial year, the Villeroy & Boch Group achieved record revenue of € 1.421 billion (US$1.5 billion), marking a 57.6% increase from the previous year. This substantial growth was largely driven by the acquisition of Ideal Standard in March 2024. The company also improved its operating EBIT by 10%, rising from € 88.7 million (US$96 million) to € 97.6 million (US$95.2 million), successfully meeting its revenue and profit targets despite challenging market conditions.
The integration of Ideal Standard was the Group's primary focus throughout 2024. A unified Group strategy and an optimized, integrated organizational structure facilitated initial synergy effects. CEO Gabi Schupp remarked, "With the integration of Ideal Standard, we've created a new company that has successfully positioned itself on the market under the umbrella of the Villeroy & Boch Group with two strong brands, clearly defined strategies for growth and an international organization."
The Bathroom & Wellness Division generated € 1,098.9 million (US$1,195 million) in revenue, reflecting an 89.7% year-over-year increase, primarily due to acquisitions. The Ideal Standard companies contributed € 512.1 million (US$556 million) in revenue from March 1, 2024, onward. Despite ongoing challenges in the construction sector, revenue slightly exceeded the previous year's level after adjusting for acquisitions. The ceramic sanitary ware and fittings segments saw the highest revenue growth. In 2024, the Bathroom & Wellness Division recorded an operating profit (EBIT) of € 65.2 million (US$70.9 million), representing a € 7.9 million (US$8.5 million), (13.8%) increase compared to the previous year.
