VDL Groep Acquires Limoco to Expand Industrial Ventilation Business
Netherlands/Belgium: VDL Groep has acquired Limoco, a family-owned company based in Opglabbeek in the Flemish region of Belgium that provides industrial ventilation and extraction systems. Limoco was founded in 1975 and specialises in turnkey air technology projects, including industrial and residential ventilation and dust extraction systems. The company employs around 50 people and has reported annual turnover of approximately EUR 10 million (USD 10.9 million). Through the acquisition, VDL Groep aims to expand its activities in industrial air technology alongside its existing operations under VDL Industrial Products.
Limoco and VDL Industrial Products have collaborated for around two decades, with Limoco responsible for engineering, manufacturing and installation of air technology systems and VDL supplying components such as piping, locks and valves. The systems are supplied to sectors including food processing, high-technology manufacturing and mobility. Following the acquisition, the combined operations will offer services covering design, project preparation, installation and maintenance for ventilation and extraction systems in industrial facilities.
