Ukraine: The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Ukraine has partnered with the Ministry for Development of Communities and Territories to implement the Renewable Energy Solutions (RES) Programme, backed by a US$ 19.1 million investment. This initiative aims to install solar panels, heat pumps, and battery storage systems in essential public infrastructure, including schools, kindergartens, and hospitals. The goal is to enhance energy independence and resilience by transforming these facilities into "prosumers" entities that generate and consume their own energy. The programme is supported by the European Investment Bank (EIB) and the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action (BMWK) through its International Climate Initiative (IKI).
