South Korea: SM Group’s construction division has signed a memorandum of understanding with Samsung C&T’s construction division to collaborate on smart residential services and related technology development. The agreement was signed in Seoul and will support the rollout of Samsung C&T’s home platform, Homeniq, in selected new residential projects developed by SM Group.
Under the partnership, Homeniq services will be introduced in upcoming Gyeongnam Honorsville and Woobang IU Shell complexes. The platform is designed to provide residents with integrated functions such as controlling home Internet of Things devices, accessing building notices, paying maintenance fees, registering parking, booking community facilities, and monitoring energy usage. The two companies also plan to cooperate on additional technologies, including artificial intelligence-based parking services and solutions aimed at reducing inter-floor noise.
