Rinnai America Corporation Applauds DOE Rule on Efficiency Standards for Water Heaters.

US: Rinnai America Corporation applauds the United States Department of Energy (DOE) for carefully evaluating proposed water heater efficiency criteria and ensuring that US consumers can continue to choose from a variety of tankless water heaters. The rule, which was originally proposed in 2023 and published on April 30, 2024, would have limited consumer access to certain tankless water heater technologies, disproportionately affecting middle-income homes and small businesses. Rinnai also thanks the Georgia Congressional Delegation, our employees that wrote to DOE, and the many other stakeholders who assisted Rinnai in communicating our views to DOE respectfully and effectively, resulting in a balanced outcome.
