Panasonic Strengthens European Heating and Cooling Operations

Europe: Panasonic Heating & Cooling has introduced a new organisational structure and visual identity for its European operations, following the formation of Panasonic HVAC & CC Co., Ltd. on 1 April 2026. The organisation brings together Panasonic’s global heating, ventilation, air conditioning and cold-chain activities under one structure. The change is accompanied by investment in European manufacturing, research and development, and training facilities. One of the main investments is the EUR 320 million (USD 374 million) expansion and refurbishment of its heat pump production facility in Pilsen, Czech Republic. The site combines manufacturing and R&D activities and operates as a Net Zero facility, supported by green electricity purchases, a 1 MW photovoltaic roof system, smart building management and resource-efficiency measures. Panasonic also has manufacturing and R&D activities in Tillières-sur-Avre, France; commercial HVAC manufacturing and R&D facilities in Barlassina, Italy; commercial and CO2 refrigeration capabilities in Poland; and a renewable energy demonstration facility in Cardiff, UK.

Enrique Vilamitjana, Managing Director of Panasonic Heating & Cooling Europe, said: “Europe’s heating and cooling needs are changing quickly. Customers are looking for solutions that reduce energy use, support decarbonisation and deliver reliable comfort over the long term. Our renewed identity reflects a business combining Panasonic’s global technology strength with solutions that are relevant to the European market. He added: “This brand evolution builds on Panasonic’s century-long engineering heritage, while reflecting our continued investment in the future. By expanding our European manufacturing, R&D and training capabilities, we can strengthen our ability to respond to customer needs with greater speed, relevance and resilience, while demonstrating our long-term commitment to the region.
