Mitsubishi Electric Acquires APAC and COMPAC Groups to Expand European Data Center Cooling Business

Japan: Mitsubishi Electric Corporation announced that its wholly owned subsidiary, Mitsubishi Electric Hydronics & IT Cooling Systems S.p.A., acquired all shares of the APAC and COMPAC groups, including their operating companies in the Netherlands, on July 13. The acquisition strengthens Mitsubishi Electric’s one-stop capabilities in Europe by combining the groups’ expertise in HVAC sales, installation and maintenance with its product portfolio to expand its data center cooling systems business. The move responds to growing demand for advanced cooling solutions as data center development expands beyond traditional European hubs including Frankfurt, London, Amsterdam, Paris and Dublin, while supporting the company’s plans to broaden its data center solutions portfolio to include power systems, facility monitoring and security systems.
