Midea Malaysia Targets USD 225M Sales in 2025
Malaysia: Midea Scott and English Electronics Sdn Bhd (Midea Malaysia) aims to achieve RM 1 billion (approximately USD 225 million) in sales this year, driven by the increasing demand for energy-efficient appliances. Managing Director Mark Tam stated that the demand for energy-saving inverter air conditioners has risen sharply in the past year, from 10% to over 50% of the country's air conditioner market. "This is reflected in our air-conditioner lineup, the fastest-growing product, with a year-on-year growth of 37%," he said at the unveiling of Midea’s 2025/2026 product lineup. Midea Malaysia currently works with over 1,000 dealers nationwide and plans to upgrade 50 brand stores over the next two years to enhance accessibility.
