MHI Thermal Systems Establishes Air Conditioner Production Base in India

India: On February 24, 2026, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Thermal Systems, Ltd., part of Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, announced the launch of Mitsubishi Heavy Industries-IAPL Air Conditioners Private Limited, a joint venture with IAPL Group Private Limited that began operations on January 22 to establish a local air-conditioner production base in India. The move aims to strengthen the production and sales network, expand supply, and provide regular after-sales service in the fast-growing Indian AC market. Previously, the company supplied units imported from Thailand while building a nationwide sales and service network with IAPL. The initiative also supports MHI Group’s MISSION NET ZERO plan to achieve carbon neutrality by 2040 through products using low-GWP refrigerants and high energy-saving performance.
