LG Electronics to Accelerate HVAC Growth Through AI and Local Manufacturing Expansion

KOREA: Lee Jaesung, President and Head of LG Electronics’ ES (Eco Solutions) Business Division, which leads the company’s core HVAC operations, said the company plans to accelerate growth this year with a strong focus on artificial intelligence (AI). He highlighted that LG will begin operations at its manufacturing plant in India in the second half of the year to strengthen local infrastructure and support regional expansion. The ES Business Division offers a broad product portfolio, ranging from residential and commercial air conditioners to chillers used in data centers.
In addition, LG Electronics plans to further develop next-generation thermal management solutions, including chip cooling technologies for data centers and commercial heat pumps. Research institutions such as the LG HVAC R&D Center at Changwon National University are actively working on advanced HVAC innovations, while the company’s global heat pump consortium is conducting performance validation in extreme climates, including Alaska, Oslo, and Saudi Arabia.
