South Korea: LG Electronics (LG) is enhancing the global competitiveness of its HVAC business by expanding its network of LG HVAC Academies across key markets. The company has opened new training facilities and upgraded existing ones in Thailand, China, Indonesia, and France, offering localized programs tailored to regional professional and industry needs. Certified by Thailand’s Department of Skill Development, it can train up to 1,700 HVAC professionals annually and provides nationally recognized certifications. In March, LG opened its second academy in China, in Shenzhen, featuring lecture halls, a Smart Home zone, and a showroom to support HVAC strategy and customer engagement.
Also in March 2025, LG expanded and relocated its HVAC Academy in Jakarta, Indonesia, now a three-floor facility offering training rooms, product displays, and maintenance education through Hi-M Solutek. In Europe, LG inaugurated its second French training center in Lyon in mid-May 2025, complementing the existing Paris location with hands-on zones and a product showroom. By the end of 2025, LG aims to operate 70 HVAC academies worldwide, training approximately 37,000 professionals annually.
