South Korea: LG Electronics has introduced its first bathroom ventilation product, marking its entry into the home bathroom air management segment. The new LG Puricare Bath Air System expands the company’s home air portfolio following the launch of a residential ventilation system with a total heat exchanger. The move comes amid rising demand for indoor air quality solutions, particularly after the COVID-19 pandemic, and introduces additional competition in a market traditionally led by domestic ventilation appliance suppliers.
The LG Puricare Bath Air System is designed to manage bathroom temperature, humidity and hygiene through an integrated system that monitors conditions in real time and adjusts operation accordingly. The product includes features such as dual exhaust ventilation and ultraviolet-based sterilisation of internal components. LG Electronics has also applied its subscription-based sales model to the product. The system is priced at approximately KRW 1 million (USD 0.77 thousand/EUR 0.70 thousand), with a subscription option starting at KRW 24,900 per month (USD 19/EUR 17) over six years.
