Lennox and Ariston Group Form Joint Venture to Expand Water Heater Business in North America

US: Lennox and Ariston Group have announced the formation of a joint venture to offer a competitive portfolio of residential water heaters in the United States and Canada. The partnership brings together Lennox’s trusted brands, strong distribution networks, and customer relationships with Ariston’s global expertise in water heating technology, R&D, and manufacturing. The goal is to strengthen both companies’ market positions and drive innovation in the North American residential water heater market.
“This joint venture aligns with our strategy to deliver accelerated growth by expanding our product offerings within the residential market,” said Alok Maskara, CEO of Lennox. “We are excited to work alongside Ariston Group, a global leader in heat-pump-based, high-efficiency water heating solutions. Together, we aim to enhance our value proposition for dealers, distributors, and contractors, providing a more complete home comfort environment.” Starting in 2026, water heaters carrying the Lennox brand will be sold through Lennox stores, its direct-to-dealer network, and distributor channels, while Ariston USA will continue to serve its current customers under its own brands.
The new joint venture, named Ariston Lennox Water Heating North America, will become operational after customary closing conditions are met. Ariston USA will hold a 50.1% stake, with Lennox owning the remaining 49.9%. Leadership of the venture will be jointly appointed by both companies.
