Johnson Controls Boosts Commercial Heat Pump Capacity with Izmir Plant Expansion
Turkey/Europe: Johnson Controls has expanded production capacity at its Izmir plant in Turkey with a $3 million investment aimed at meeting rising European demand for commercial heat pumps. This expansion has significantly improved production efficiencies and shortened delivery times for HVAC solutions across Europe. According to Jens von Ebbe, Vice-President and General Manager HVACR, EMEA and India, “Heating and cooling are a significant factor in the carbon footprint of commercial buildings. Optimising efficiency within these facilities through HVAC solutions such as commercial heat pumps is critical.”
The new infrastructure upgrades, including pressure tests, a charging station, and leak tests, have effectively tripled the plant’s production capacity. With these improvements, heat pumps and chillers can now be delivered to customers within weeks, positioning Johnson Controls to better serve the European market.
