Honeywell to Acquire Sundyne for USD 2.2 Billion

US: Honeywell has announced the USD 2.2 billion acquisition of Sundyne, a leading manufacturer of centrifugal pumps and gas compressors. Founded in 1905, Sundyne operates in the U.S., UK, France, Spain, Japan, and India. The deal will expand Honeywell’s presence in refining, petrochemicals, LNG, and renewable fuels.
Honeywell plans to integrate Sundyne’s equipment with its Honeywell Forge platform to enhance reliability and predictive maintenance. The acquisition aligns with Honeywell’s strategy to streamline operations, focusing on automation, aviation technology, and clean energy.
In September 2024, Honeywell completed a USD 1.81 billion acquisition of Air Products’ LNG process technology business. The global LNG market is projected to grow by 350 billion cubic meters by 2030, with the U.S. expected to become the world’s largest LNG exporter, producing over one-third of the global supply.
