Uzbekistan: A control purchase of the Chinese-made “Nawas” radiator at the “Urikzor” market in Tashkent revealed that the product did not meet current technical standards. An inspection by the technical regulation authorities identified deficiencies in the radiator’s design and construction.
Laboratory tests showed that the thickness of the aluminum wall in contact with water was 1.42 mm, below the required 1.5 mm. In a static strength test at pressures at least 2.5 times higher than the manufacturer’s working level, the radiator failed to meet regulations, cracking at 4.0 MPa instead of the required 4.5 MPa.
