India: Hindware is adjusting its retail strategy as consumer preferences in India’s bathroom and home décor segment evolve towards design-led choices and integrated technology. The company is placing greater emphasis on experience-driven retail, a broad product portfolio across price points, and an extensive distribution network. Sanitaryware remains central to the business, alongside faucets, wellness products, tiles, kitchen appliances and water heaters, allowing retailers to offer complete bathroom and kitchen solutions. The approach is supported by a tiered brand structure aimed at serving metropolitan, urban and smaller-town markets.Â
Retail expansion is being driven through a combination of experience centres, exclusive brand stores and a wide dealer network. Experience centres focus on live product demonstrations to support informed purchasing, particularly for technology-enabled and wellness products, while exclusive brand stores and dealers extend reach across multiple city tiers. Digital tools are being introduced within physical retail to support product visualisation, alongside a growing presence on major e-commerce platforms. Manufacturing remains primarily domestic, with export activity expanding into selected international markets, as the company aligns product development with design, technology and availability across different consumer segments.Â
