With daytime temperatures reaching between 35°C and 37°C in several parts of the country, installation and maintenance companies have reported a significant rise in service requests, resulting in longer waiting times as technicians face fully booked schedules. Many service calls involve air conditioners that have been operating continuously and are no longer cooling effectively.
The higher use of cooling systems has also prompted some households to explore ways of reducing electricity costs, including the installation of rooftop solar panels and the replacement of older air conditioners with inverter models.
