Governor Hochul Unveils $93M Affordable Housing Complex in East Buffalo
US: Governor Kathy Hochul announced the completion of a $93 million affordable housing complex in East Buffalo, replacing the aging Pilgrim Village with two new all-electric developments: 1100 Michigan for families and Noles Court for seniors. The 237-unit complex provides housing for households with income at or below 60% of the Area Median Income. Noles Court offers 105 apartments for residents 55 and older, with 49 units reserved for supportive services. The project aligns with Governor Hochul's $25 billion housing plan and includes energy-efficient features. Mayor Byron Brown highlighted Buffalo’s progress toward 40% affordable housing, with the complex contributing to the city's economic revival.
