Japan: Fujitsu General has joined the public tender offer by Paloma Rheem Holdings Co., Ltd. (Paloma Rheem HD) and is now part of the group. With air conditioners as its core business, the company sees long-term growth in energy-efficient products that contribute to climate change mitigation, while its Tech Solutions division will expand with demand for disaster response, miniaturization, and efficient electronics. Fujitsu General will focus on advancing core technologies such as heat pumps, inverters, compressors, and motors, while collaborating within the Paloma Rheem HD Group to enhance competitiveness and expand globally.
The company aims to strengthen its leadership in air conditioning, integrate air conditioning and water heating technologies, and drive innovation to support decarbonization. Guided by its philosophy “Living together for our future,” it will continue expanding its air conditioning and tech solutions businesses while contributing to a sustainable society. Its name and trademarks will remain unchanged for now. Paloma Rheem HD, which includes Paloma in Japan and Rheem in the U.S., is a global leader in air and water equipment and has collaborated with Fujitsu General in North America since 2016.
