Edinburgh Boiler Company Creates Air Source Heat Pump Division

The establishment of a specialised air source heat pump division by The Edinburgh Boiler Company is anticipated to generate employment opportunities for approximately 15 individuals in the upcoming year.


Graeme Porter has been designated as the operations manager to spearhead the establishment of a new division within the organisation, aligning with the company's strategic objective of shifting towards more environmentally sustainable heating alternatives.


The individual in question has previously held positions as an area heating manager for Polypipe and a business development manager for PDM in East Kilbride. Currently, he joins us from Richmonds Plumbing & Heating Merchants in the capital, where he served as a technical sales manager.


In the forthcoming position, Porter, situated in Tranent, will have comprehensive responsibility for the entirety of the organization's heat pump operations. This will involve the supervision and coordination of a team of surveyors, installers, and office personnel. Additionally, he is responsible for ensuring that the Edinburgh Boiler Company complies with all the requisite requirements set forth by the Microgeneration Certification Scheme.
