Clivet Operations at a New Heat Pump Facility in Italy
Italy: Clivet has begun operations at a new 14,000 square metre heat pump plant in Feltre, Italy. The EUR24 million (approximately USD26.9 million) facility is intended to support rising international demand for commercial heat pumps and high efficiency air conditioning systems. The plant will manufacture several Clivet product ranges, including units using the R290 natural refrigerant and models for the US market. At full capacity, it will be able to produce 8,800 units annually. The site currently employs 80 people, with further recruitment planned.
A photovoltaic system consisting of 1,008 panels will cover an estimated 67% of the plant’s electricity consumption. The facility was designed using lean manufacturing principles and can accommodate collaborative robots and automated guided vehicles. Clivet has also applied for LEED Silver certification.
