DENMARK: Denmark’s Energy Agency has introduced a new digital approval system designed to automate the processing of heat pump subsidies, streamlining the overall approval procedure. The system is set to handle the majority of applications for Denmark’s heat pump subsidy program automatically, with only the more complex cases requiring manual review.
A representative from the Danish Energy Agency reported that just one day after the system’s launch, 1,383 applications were submitted, of which 930 were automatically approved.
Under the program, Danish households can receive DKK 17,000 for switching to an air-to-water heat pump or DKK 27,000 for a liquid-to-water heat pump. The subsidy initiative is scheduled to run through 2026.
