Demand for Heavy Duty Air Conditioners Surges Amid Extreme Heatwave in India
Air Conditioners

India: Rising temperatures exceeding 50 degrees Celsius across several parts of India have led to a sharp increase in demand for high-performance and heavy-duty air conditioners. Consumers are increasingly opting for models capable of operating efficiently under extreme climatic conditions, as standard units struggle to maintain cooling at such high temperatures. Online platforms have reported a surge in interest for these systems, reflecting a shift toward more durable and high-capacity cooling solutions during prolonged heatwave periods.

Manufacturers such as Daikin, LG, and Panasonic are introducing air conditioners designed to function effectively at temperatures between 52 and 54 degrees Celsius, focusing on faster cooling and improved operational stability. These systems are engineered to deliver rapid temperature reduction while maintaining efficiency in harsh environments, supporting their adoption in both residential and commercial settings. The trend indicates a broader market shift toward climate-resilient cooling technologies as heat intensity and frequency continue to increase across India.
