Daikin to Establish Research and Development Centre in Haryana with Rs 1,000 Crore Investment

India: Daikin Industries Limited has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Government of Haryana to invest Rs 1,000 crore (USD 120 million / EUR 110 million) for setting up a research and development centre in the state. The agreement was finalised in Osaka, Japan, in the presence of Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, who is leading a high-level delegation to promote industrial cooperation. The new facility will focus on developing advanced technologies and sustainable industrial solutions, while also generating employment opportunities and strengthening Haryana’s position as a hub for innovation and manufacturing.
During the visit, the delegation also held discussions with officials from Kubota Corporation, which announced an investment of Rs 2,000 crore (USD 240 million / EUR 220 million) in partnership with Escorts to expand agricultural equipment production in the state. The Haryana government emphasised its industry-friendly policies, streamlined approval processes, and infrastructure readiness to attract global investors. Both investments are expected to boost Haryana’s industrial and technological growth while deepening economic ties between India and Japan.
