Daikin's new multi-air conditioner for buildings “VRV 7” series
By adopting HFC-32 (henceforth referred to as "R32"), a low-global warming refrigerant that is extremely energy-efficient and environmentally friendly, Daikin Industries, Ltd. has reinforced the requirements for air conditioners and enhanced basic performance. "Starting in November 2024, we will be releasing the VRV 7 multi-air conditioner series for buildings, which achieves the industry's highest level of energy efficiency and also contributes to reducing environmental impact and work load" , according to the business.
The societal challenges surrounding air conditioners have been increasingly pressing in recent years. These difficulties include the need to reduce environmental effect in order to avert global warming and achieve carbon neutrality, the skyrocketing cost of energy, and the scarcity of labour for both building and maintenance. Enhancing comfort even more is crucial. In light of these facts, we recently revealed that the refrigerant for multi-air conditioners supplied in the domestic Japanese market has a GWP that is almost 1/3 that of traditional HFC-410A and is also more energy-efficient. By utilizing the refrigerant conversion to R32, this product has been enhanced from all the angles that are necessary for air conditioners: comfort, safety, energy efficiency, environmental friendliness, inter-equipment coordination, and air quality visualization.
