USA: Daikin Subsidiary in the United States, Daikin Applied plans to construct a new AHU and specialised HVAC facility for computer rooms in Tijuana, Mexico. The new facility will facilitate the expansion of data centres in North America in a sustainable manner. It will be constructed in collaboration with Alliance Air Products, a San Diego-based manufacturer and designer of custom air handling equipment that the company acquired the previous year. An additional 460,000 square feet will be added to the facilities that Daikin Applied and Alliance Air already have in Tijuana, Mexico. It will be utilised in the production of specialised computer room air handler and HVAC apparatus and solutions. Daikin asserts that this expanded facility enables the company to provide end-to-end HVAC solutions to consumers in the west and southwest United States and Mexico through a single supplier. More than 1,150 new permanent employment and over 1,000 production jobs are anticipated to be supported by the new US$121 million facility.
