Clivet Expands with New Heat Pump Factory in Italy
ITALY: Clivet recently held a groundbreaking ceremony in Feltre for a new 30,000-square-meter factory dedicated to producing residential heat pumps. Known for its commitment to environmental care, comfort, and energy efficiency, Clivet has grown significantly since its founding in 1989 by Bruno Bellò. The company now operates across Italy with 35 agencies, 160 service centers, and 260 dealers, and has expanded internationally to eight branches, with the latest opening in France. Despite global supply chain challenges, Clivet reported a 30% increase in 2022 turnover, driven by a 170% surge in heat pump demand. To support this growth, Clivet employs over 670 people at its factories in Feltre and Isola Della Scala and has added 80 new hires this year. Production lines for heat pumps have more than doubled, reaching over 15,000 units.
Clivet also provides innovative systems for various sectors, focusing on air quality and eco-friendly refrigerants. Sustainability efforts include a photovoltaic system covering 30% of energy needs and Industry 4.0 investments. The 2016 alliance with Midea Group broadened Clivet's offerings to include VRF and Mono/MultiSplit products. In 2020, Clivet launched a Digital Business Unit to enhance efficiency and develop smart solutions like Clivet Smart Home, featuring an energy storage system, Sinergy, for optimal energy use and independence.
