USA: Carrier has announced plans to invest USD 1 billion (EUR 920 million) in its U.S. manufacturing operations over the next five years. The investment is projected to generate around 4,000 jobs across research and development, manufacturing, and field services. The company stated that this initiative aims to enhance its capabilities in innovation, production, and workforce development.
The planned investment will support the expansion of existing facilities and the construction of a new manufacturing site focused on producing components for heat pumps and battery assemblies, which are part of Carrier’s Home Energy Management System. The funds will also be directed towards research and development efforts, including technologies for liquid cooling in data centres and battery-supported climate solutions under Carrier Energy, the company’s in-house unit dedicated to home energy optimisation and grid support.
