Carrier signs energy-saving cooling deal

Carrier and Montana Technologies have entered into an agreement to collaborate on the development and commercialization of Montana's innovative AirJoule dehumidification and cooling technology. Furthermore, Carrier has made a conditional commitment of $10 million in growth equity to support the commercialization of the technology in Montana. This technique is reported to significantly enhance the efficiency of air conditioning by extracting water and thermal energy from the air. The exclusive technique and structure can decrease electricity usage in comparison to traditional air conditioning cooling systems, leading to a proportional decrease in carbon emissions and, in certain instances, the elimination or reduction of refrigerants.
