Carrier Introduces CO2 Refrigeration Systems to North America



USA: Carrier Commercial Refrigeration is extending its environmentally friendly carbon dioxide (CO2) mechanical systems to North America. With a presence in over 35 countries across the globe, and a track record of delivering over 20,000 refrigeration systems in Europe, the company is leveraging its experience to support customers in this new market. According to Jimmy Washington, Managing Director, North America, the company has been a pioneer in using CO2 natural refrigerant since 2004 to reduce energy usage and costs for customers, while promoting sustainability. The company aims to introduce this innovative technology to North America from 2024 onwards, targeting industrial applications, food and grocery retail, and convenience stores. The product range includes CO2 compressor racks and heat pumps for mechanical refrigeration systems, with plans to add condensing units soon.
