India: American HVAC manufacturer Carrier has announced significant plans to double its business in India within five years, with a target of achieving 90% localisation in design, manufacturing, and sourcing. Saif Siddiqui, HVAC Head of APAC at Carrier, highlighted the company's optimism about the Indian market, noting investments in expanding its R&D centre in Gurugram and bolstering digital capabilities with centers of excellence in Hyderabad and Bangalore. Carrier is also diversifying its portfolio to cater to emerging verticals like data centres and high-tech manufacturing in India.
