Carrier Discontinues Using Toshiba Brand Name in Japan

Japan/Europe: Carrier has made the decision to remove the Toshiba brand from its associated Toshiba Carrier entities. This decision comes after Carrier's acquisition of the former joint venture business in 2022. Originally, Toshiba Carrier Corporation planned to transition to Carrier Japan Corporation (Nippon Carrier Corporation) starting May 1, 2024. Following suit, other Toshiba Carrier entities worldwide are also undergoing name changes, effective May 6. In the United Kingdom, Toshiba Carrier UK Ltd will now operate as UK Carrier Solutions UK Ltd. Similarly, Toshiba Carrier Europe SAS, the European business, will be rebranded as Carrier RLC Europe SAS. Additionally, the Poland-based company Toshiba Carrier Air Conditioning Europe Sp Zoo will be known as Carrier Manufacturing Gniezno Sp Zoo.
