ROMANIA: Bucharest’s UP-site residential project in the Floreasca district has become the first in Romania to integrate large-scale Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (MHI) VRF systems with intelligent room-by-room zoning, underfloor heating, smart-home control, and a dedicated fresh air supply. Developed by Atenor, the complex consists of two towers of 12 and 25 floors totaling 256 apartments, and targets BREEAM Excellent and RoGBC Green Homes certifications, underscoring its focus on sustainability and advanced engineering. The HVAC system, delivered by ATX HVAC, provides over 1.2MW capacity with SCOP values above 4, ensuring energy-efficient heating and cooling throughout the building.
What sets the project apart is its granular control via Airzone intelligent zoning, allowing residents to set unique temperatures for each room through a single interface that also manages underfloor heating. Fully integrated into the apartments’ smart-home platform, the system enables remote comfort management and energy-saving schedules. A dedicated fresh air supply further enhances indoor air quality, establishing a new benchmark for high-efficiency, connected HVAC solutions in Romania’s luxury residential sector.
