India: Blue Star Limited has appointed Mohit Sud as the group president of unitary cooling products, leveraging his extensive leadership experience from Hindustan Unilever. Sud, a mechanical engineering graduate with an MBA from XLRI Jamshedpur, brings over 20 years of expertise in sales, distribution, and marketing. In his new role, he will oversee the entire unitary cooling portfolio, including room air conditioners, deep freezers, water coolers, visi coolers, and modular cold rooms, managing key functions such as sales, marketing, service, R&D, manufacturing, and supply chain.
With the air-conditioning and commercial refrigeration market set for rapid expansion, Blue Star is strengthening its leadership to capitalize on this growth. Managing Director B Thiagarajan emphasized the company’s focus on market leadership and increasing its share, highlighting Sud’s expertise as an asset.
