Bangladesh Increases AC Manufacturing Due to Rise in Heat Levels
Bangladesh: Consumers are increasingly looking for relief from the rising temperatures that are a result of the effects of climate change. As a result, businesses have begun to manufacture and assemble air conditioners (ACs) in their own communities in order to meet the growing demand for this home equipment.
This has resulted in a considerable fall in the prices of air conditioners, which has brought them within the financial reach of a greater number of consumers and fueled the growth of the industry in a country where the average income per person has nearly doubled over the course of the past 12 years.
They also stated that local makers and assemblers now cater to more than 85 percent of demand. According to industry insiders, sales have increased tremendously, and they also claimed that the demand has increased. There is no reliable market data available on the sales of air conditioners. In 2023, manufacturers and merchants anticipate that a total of 530,000 units were sold, which is a significant increase over the 330,000 units that were sold in 2022.
