Bangladesh: Bangladesh's air conditioner market has expanded significantly, with annual sales increasing from 450,000 units in 2023 to 650,000 units in 2024. More than 50% of ACs sold in the country are now locally manufactured, contributing to affordability and market growth. The sector's expansion is driven by rising temperatures, urbanization, and a growing middle class, with projections indicating over 20% growth in the coming years.

The expansion of local manufacturing has made ACs more affordable, with prices like Walton's 1-ton inverter ACs currently ranging between Tk 49,900 (USD 410) and Tk 72,990 (USD 599), 1.5-ton inverter ACs currently ranging between Tk 65,900 (USD 541) and Tk 81,900 (USD 673), and 2-ton inverter ACs currently ranging between Tk 79,900 (USD 656) and Tk 95,990 (USD 788). This affordability, along with the introduction of new technologies and after-sales benefits, has further stimulated market growth.
