Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan Partner on Aluminium Radiator Production Project
Uzbekistan: Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan have initiated a collaboration to produce aluminium radiators, leveraging their robust electrical industries. Uzbekistan is a major exporter of electrical products, with annual exports exceeding 1 billion USD, including to CIS, Eastern Europe, and Southeast Asia. Azerbaijan's electrical industry is also significant, producing 10,000 transformers and 100,000 kilometers of cables annually. In 2023, Uzbekistan exported 33 million USD worth of electrical products to Azerbaijan, including household appliances, cables, copper products, and other components.
Aluminium radiators are in high demand due to their superior heat conductivity, lightweight nature, and corrosion resistance, making them more efficient for engine cooling in the automotive industry and contributing to fuel efficiency. Uzbekistan's electrical engineering sector, with around 1,000 manufacturing enterprises and over 35,000 employees, is poised for significant growth under the Development Strategy of New Uzbekistan for 2022-2026, which aims to increase industrial production and triple exports by 2026. The Uzbekistan-2030 Strategy, effective from September 2023, supports these ambitious goals.
