Mexico: Ariston Group has announced plans to invest MXD 157 million (USD 7.7 million) in the construction of a new plant in Saltillo, Coahuila. The facility will produce gas and electric water heaters for markets in the United States and Canada and is expected to generate more than 120 jobs. Construction is scheduled to begin in October 2025, with operations projected to start in early 2026. The investment will be carried out in phases, beginning with USD 2.3 million in the first year, followed by USD 2.6 million over the next two years, and USD 2.8 million in subsequent years. The project will cover a 40,000m² facility within a 75,000m² site, including expanded warehouses for raw materials and finished products.
According to state officials, the project reflects international confidence in Coahuila’s security, infrastructure, and skilled workforce. Governor Manolo Jiménez stated that total domestic and foreign investment in Coahuila during his administration has reached MXD 150 billion (USD 70 billion). Ariston Group’s leadership highlighted Saltillo’s workforce and regional advantages as key reasons for selecting the site. The company, founded in 1930 and present in more than 40 countries, specialises in thermal solutions such as water heaters and solar systems, with a focus on energy efficiency and market-specific products.
